The activities of the AVIRES research group deal with many topics in the areas of Computer Vision and Sound and Music Computing. In particular, the group has specific experience in the fields of Active Vision, Biometrics, Data Fusion, Data Transmission, Audio Digital Library, Auditory Display, Nonverbal Human-Machine Interaction.
The group has close links with national and international industries and research laboratories. The main sources of its research funding include the European Union (ESPRIT, MAST, CRAFT, FP6 and FP7 projects), the National Research Council (CNR), the Italian Ministry for the University and Research (MIUR), and industry (at local, national and international level).
